At the risk of sounding like we are blowing our own trumpet, we are extremely proud to announce that we have received yet another award to add to the others on our ‘top shelf’. On 17th November, at the prestigious White Rose Awards in Harrogate, we were presented with the award for Yorkshire’s Best Visitor Attraction (under 50,000). To say that we are delighted would be an understatement!
Alf Wight, as the author James Herriot, put Yorkshire well and truly on the map. His brand of storytelling has brought visitors from all corners of the globe to God’s Own County, searching for him and Siegfried, the country pubs, the drystone walls and the green hills and dales which speak dreamily of another time, but also of the here and now.
The Here and Now is what we at World of James Herriot are tasked with perpetuating into the future, which we have done and will continue to do – with an even greater pride. Our attraction dedicated to the memory of one of the world’s greatest storytellers is officially the best Visitor Attraction in Yorkshire (under 50,000). The proof is to the left, but greater evidence can be found in simply visiting us to see for yourself.
World of James Herriot – Our World…His World…Your World.
